Title: Spring Weight Restriction Bulletin # 10

Effective 6:00 AM Friday, May 23, 2014, weight restrictions will be lifted on all state trunk line highways from the entire state of Michigan. State trunkline highways typically carry M, I, or US designations.

Weight restriction information and updates may be obtained by calling 1-800-787-8960. For companies located in Canada or New Jersey, information may be obtained by calling 517-373-6256.

- On routes designated as "All Season Routes" (green or gold on the MDOT Truck Operators Map) there will be no reduction in legal axle weight.

- On routes designated as "Seasonal" (solid or dashed red on the MDOT Truck Operators Map) there will be a weight reduction of 25% for rigid pavements and 35% for flexible pavements.

Extended permits will be valid for oversize only in the weight restricted area.

Single trip permits will not be issued for overweight loads or loads exceeding 14 feet in width, 11 axles and 150 feet in overall length in the weight restricted area.

Title: Spring Weight Restriction Bulletin #9 # 9

Effective 6:00 AM Monday, May 12, 2014, weight restrictions will be lifted on all state trunk line highways from the southern Michigan border north to and including US-2 to Iron Mountain. Frost restrictions are still in effect on M-185 on Mackinac Island and on all highways north of US-2.  State trunkline highways typically carry M, I, or US designations.

Weight restriction information and updates may be obtained by calling 1-800-787-8960. For companies located in Canada or New Jersey, information may be obtained by calling 517-373-6256.

- On routes designated as "All Season Routes" (green or gold on the MDOT Truck Operators Map) there will be no reduction in legal axle weight.

- On routes designated as "Seasonal" (solid or dashed red on the MDOT Truck Operators Map) there will be a weight reduction of 25% for rigid pavements and 35% for flexible pavements.

Effective 6:00 AM Monday, May 5, 2014 weight restrictions will be lifted from the southern Michigan/Indiana & Ohio border north to the Mackinac Bridge. However, weight restrictions will be imposed and enforced on all state trunkline highways in the Upper Peninsula. State trunkline highways typically carry M, I, or US designations.

Effective 6:00 AM Monday, April 28, 2014 weight restrictions will be lifted from the southern Michigan/Indiana & Ohio border north to and including the entire stretch of M-72 at Empire, Leelanau County, east to Harrisville, Alcona County. However, for the remainder of the state (north of M-72) weight restrictions will be imposed and enforced on all state trunkline highways. State trunkline highways typically carry M, I, or US designations.

Weight restriction information and updates may be obtained by calling 1-800-787-8960. For companies located in Canada or New Jersey, information may be obtained by calling 517-373-6256.

- On routes designated as "All Season Routes" (green or gold on the MDOT Truck Operators Map) there will be no reduction in legal axle weight.

Effective 8:00 AM Monday, April 21, 2014 weight restrictions will be lifted from the southern Michigan/Indiana & Ohio border north to and including the entire stretch of US-10 at Ludington, Mason County, east to and including M-25 and the entire thumb area, Huron County.  However, for the remainder of the state (north of US-10) weight restrictions will be imposed and enforced on all state trunkline highways.  State trunkline highways typically carry M, I, or US designations.
